H-Club Mission Statement

The mission of the New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) H Club is to support the NMHU athletic department by fostering enduring relationships among university alumni, the community and varsity letter-winners; encouraging good sportsmanship and conduct on the part of all athletes, current and past; and financially supporting an environment in which current sports programs can thrive and student-athletes can achieve and academic excellence. It also exists to honor outstanding alumni athletes through support of the Hall of Fame and its banquet.

Additionally, the mission of the NMHU H Club is:

• To recognize the excellence and achievements of the institution’s athletes
• To conduct a process for selection, induction and honoring graduates of NMHU who deserve to be in the NMHU H Club Hall of Fame
• To encourage, conduct and support special projects such as fundraising activities to assist the NMHU Athletic Department (within institutional, state and NCAA guidelines).
