Join your friends and fellow alumni football fans at the coveted Cowboy Corral at Homecoming. Guests are treated to complimentary beverages and lots of Highlands spirit. Only H Club members are admitted into the Corral. Not a member of the H Club?! We can fix that! Click the button to join the H Club today... and we'll see you in Corral!

Join us at the annual Homecoming Tailgate Celebration, hosted by your Highlands Alumni Board!

We'll be grilling up hamburgers and hotdogs and will keep serving until all the food is gone! First come, first served. Make sure to stay for the Cowboys' Football game as they defeat tough rivals Colorado Western University.

Highlands Homecoming Parade 2026, sponsored by Quality Care will take place on Saturday, October 3, 10 am - noon, in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

This is our yearly Alumni Homecoming Gathering, reimagined. Taking place in the elegant Kennedy Gallery, and featuring the 13th Annual New Mexico Painter's Exhibition, we are giving it a Cowboy twist!

Join us for a delicious selection of heavy hors d'oeuvres and homemade peach cobbler served from an authentic chuck wagon, prepared by the Castaneda head chef Jayson Cox. Beer, wine, and specialty cocktails are included in the ticket price.

Live music by Michael Rascon and an amazing silent auction featuring luxury gifts and vacation packages. Don't miss the best party in town!

Edible Book Fest at the Donnelly Library

Thursday, October 1st, 1 - 4 pm, Multipurpose Room 135

Join the Donnelly Library at our annual Edible Book Festival. Faculty, Students, and the Las Vegas Community are invited to enter our edible book contest. Entries should be edible and related to a book. Judging will be followed by a silent auction for donated entries. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Library Foundation Account.

Prizes: First Place $50 gift card, Second Place $30 gift card, Third Place $20 gift card

Drop off time for entries is 9 am - 1 pm

Contestants must provide the following information: Title of the book, Contestant name and contact information, Participants must confirm if they wish to donate their entry for the silent auction.

Every year, in honor of Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, NMHU hosts a 5K Run. Join us this year during our Highlands Homecoming Week, presented by Quality Care, to honor victims and survivors of suicide. There will be resources and activities before and after the run, including a Balloon Glow and Drone Show! The event is open to all NMHU students, staff, faculty, and local community members!

Register now: the first 200 NMHU campus community members to sign up will receive a free t-shirt.
