Highlands offers 3 scholarships to each of New Mexico’s 23 tribes and pueblos, to incentivize Native American students to attend.
NMHU’s School of Education has several bilingual education programs, and is working with many New Mexico K-12 school districts.
Highlands University graduates are ranked 19th among 342 four-year public teaching colleges nationwide for social mobility.
